Title of Program: The All-Weather Retirement Portfolio
Presentation Objectives: As a result of participating in this activity, learners will be able to:
- Discover steps to build a portfolio that will survive the Perfect Financial Storm, so you can stop worrying about the economy, the latest financial catastrophe or what the market did today
- Identify the questions when investing for income
- Learn why investing after you retire is radically different from investing while you're still working

About Randy: Randy Thurman is a well-respected CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, a Certified Public Accountant, and Personal Financial Specialist. He is the CEO of Retirement Investment Advisors, Inc. He entered the asset management and planning business in 1986. Randy holds four degrees, including a Master of Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. He has always had a heart for volunteering and has been active in several local non-profits such as the South Oklahoma City Rotary Club, the Greater Oklahoma City YMCA Board of Directors, the Oklahoma College Savings Plan Board of Directors, Oklahoma City Employees Retirement System Board of Directors, and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. Randy has been honored with many awards throughout his career, most recently named to the Cowboy 100, the Citizen of the Year award for the South OKC Chamber, and the Pathfinder award by the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.
Randy is the author of several books including "More Than a Millionaire." His book "The All-Weather Retirement Portfolio-Your Post-Retirement Guide to a Worry-Free Income for Life" was published by Forbes Books last year. This year Forbes will release its second installment of Randy's worry-free series titled "Five Steps to Finding a Financial Advisor You Can Trust."
