Speaker Bio: Ann-Margaret Hinkle, retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation after 26 years of service. SA Hinkle's FBI career was significantly focused on investigating violent crimes and processing hundreds of major crime scenes, including the OKC bombing, UNABOM investigation, Pentagon and World Trade Center terrorist attack, and Columbia Space Shuttle disaster and hundreds of homicide and other crime scenes. In the last ten years of her career in the FBI, SA Hinkle worked on Counterintelligence matters and interdicted espionage activities of domestic and foreign spies. Additionally, Special Agent Hinkle served as the Strategic Partner Coordinator for the Dallas Division of the FBI, working with the US government intelligence community assisting cleared defense contractors in protecting corporate and government proprietary and SECRET information from disclosure. Ms. Hinkle is considered a subject matter expert on cybersecurity threats, espionage, and Insider Threat Detection. Ann is currently Director of Security Services for Nomerel working with companies regarding information technology compliance and MSP/Security industries, assisting companies in a holistic approach to addressing their internal and external security vulnerabilities and compliance and policy issues. Ann is a Registered Practitioner for the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification – Accreditation Body to assist Defense Industrial Base companies seeking NIST compliance and CMMC certification. Ann has a Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University and a Master's degree focused in National Security and Strategic Studies from United States Naval War College.
