Speaker Bio: Jared Cooper is the Oklahoma Department of Commerce Director of Rural Services. Jared leads a team of Regional Development Specialists working in six separate sectors of the State of Oklahoma. Jared brings over 21 years of experience in Community and Economic Development. He previously served in lead roles for the City of Shawnee's Community Development Division. He has worked in project development, project planning, site development, and rural assistance. Currently, he is overseeing the implementation of the Oklahoma SITES program including community education and infrastructure support.
Brent Watson has 35 years of practice in sales tax, property tax, and tax incentive programs. Brent has focused his services for clients in educating personnel, improving sales tax processes, and building rapport with taxing authorities to effectively resolve tax issues on behalf of clients in Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. He is an Avalara sales tax software implementation partner. Brent has authored numerous articles for the OSCPA Focus and COPAS Accounts magazines. Brent is a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Tulsa Chapter of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. -

CPE Credits are based on a 50-minute hour. State boards of accounting have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Attendee accepts responsibility to determine if course meets acceptable guidelines set forth by their reporting authority. Make sure to sign in at the registration table. CPE certificates will only be issued to attendees that have signed in.
CPE certificates and an event evaluation will be issued via email within 48 hours after the event.
If you are not feeling well on the day of the event, please let us know and you are welcome to switch to the Zoom presentation.
Online Meeting Information
Zoom session will be open starting at 11:50am.
Presentation will begin at 12:00pm.
At least 4 polling questions will be launched via Zoom throughout the CPE session to track attendance and participation throughout the event. Participation is required for CPE certificates to be issued.
If you have any trouble with the Zoom poll questions, please let the Admin know in the Zoom chat or email your response to [email protected] for alternate attendance credit. CPE certificates and an event evaluation will be emailed within 48 hours after the event.
