  • Topic: Tariffs and the Current Economic Environment

  • Program Description: An overview of the impact of tariffs including reciprocal tariffs and the impact on our economy.

  • Speaker Bio: David Poarch is a Registered Investment Advisor and Managing Partner. His primary responsibilities include assisting with investment policy and execution, supporting the marketing effort, developing new investment strategies and products, client reporting, and administration of the firm’s business affairs. He was a co-founder of Pinnacle in 1996. Pinnacle launched one of the first private funds of publicly traded master limited partnerships in 2000.  The firm was the only Oklahoma based investment manager to participate in the Federal Reserve’s Term Asset Backed Lending Facility (TALF) program in 2009.

    Mr. Poarch has 41 years of experience in the investment industry including twelve years in fixed income trading and 29 years in investment portfolio management. Mr. Poarch managed the taxable securities trading efforts for First Tulsa/Liberty Bancorp prior to joining Pinnacle. In his career, Mr. Poarch has completed the Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, and Series 24 examinations. Mr. Poarch received a B.B.A. in Economics from the University of Oklahoma in 1983 where he was a University Scholar, an Alumni Scholar, and a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. He earned an M.B.A. from Oklahoma City University in 1985.  

    Mr. Poarch has served on the board of the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless since 1995, filling the roles of Vice President, President and Treasurer, successively. Additionally, he recently served on the board of Collegiate Hall Charter School, and Calvary Cemetery.

  • Refund Policy: Full refund by original method of payment if cancellation received by 4pm on the Friday preceding the event.

CPE Credits are based on a 50-minute hour. State boards of accounting have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Attendee accepts responsibility to determine if course meets acceptable guidelines set forth by their reporting authority. Make sure to sign in at the registration table. CPE certificates will only be issued to attendees that have signed in.  CPE certificates and an event evaluation will be issued via email within 48 hours after the event. 

If you are not feeling well on the day of the event, please let us know and you are welcome to switch to the Zoom presentation.


Online Meeting Information

Zoom session will be open starting at 11:50am.
Presentation will begin at 12:00pm.

At least 4 polling questions will be launched via Zoom throughout the CPE session to track attendance and participation throughout the event. Participation is required for CPE certificates to be issued.

If you have any trouble with the Zoom poll questions, please let the Admin know in the Zoom chat or email your response to [email protected] for alternate attendance credit. CPE certificates and an event evaluation will be emailed within 48 hours after the event.
